O U T F I T ❹ - Hipster-Flohmarkt. Blauer Himmel. Glitzer.

Diesmal besteht mein "Kostüm" aus Teilen, die eine Beamter in den 80ern getragen hätte, gepaart mit einem Pailletten-Cardigan, den ich auf einem Hipster-Flohmarkt entdeckt habe:

This time my 'costume' consists  of pieces an office-worker from the 80s would have worn,paired with a gorgeous sequin-cardigan that I found on a hipster flea market:

Vor 2 Wochen war ich auf einem Flohmarkt am Speicher, in der Nähe des Bremer Bahnhof's, und habe diesen Cardigan für 12€ ergattert. Ist er schön, oder ist er schön? Als ich ihn das erste Mal am nächsten Tag in der Uni getragen habe, hatte ich Angst, am Ende des Tages mit einer Jacke ohne jegliche Pailletten Heim zu kommen. Aber glücklicherweise war alles an seinem Platz, als ich durch meine Wohnungstür getreten bin, sodass ich ein paar Fotos schießen konnte:

Two weeks ago I went to a flea market located close to Bremen's central train station, and I snatched this cardigan for 12€. Is it gorgeous, or is it gorgeous? When I wore it for the first time the next day @ uni, I was afraid of coming home with a jacket but without  any of the sequins on it, at the  end of the day. But luckily, everything stayed where it's supposed to be until I stepped through the door of my apartment - so, I was able to take some pics of it:

 

Für die Frisur habe ich aus den Trägern eines kaputten Jutebeutels ein Haarband gebastelt, dieses um meinen Kopf gebunden und nach und nach Haarsträhnen um das Band gewickelt. Es klingt und sieht zu einfach aus, um wahr zu sein. Meine Haare sind wohl einfach zu schwer oder zu dick, sodass hinten andauernd etwas rausgefallen ist (vorallem meine herauswachsenden Ex-Undercut-Haare im Nacken). Meine Hände sind mit dem Reinstopfen nicht mehr hinterher gekommen, wie man sehen kann :D

For the hairstyle, I made a headband  from the carrier-straps of a damaged cotton bag, put it  around  my  head and wrapped strands of hairs around it one after  another.  It sounds and looks too good to be true though. My hair seems to be too thick or too heavy, so that there was always something (mostly my out-grown ex-undercut-hair) falling out in the back. My hands were  constantly occupied with  tucking it back in, as you can see :D

Der Cardigan ist auch das einzige Teil, das ich von dem Flohmarkt mitgenommen habe, aber nicht der einzige Eindruck. Noch nie zuvor habe ich so viele Menschen mit interessanten Outfits auf einem Haufen gesehen. Mützen, Rucksäcke, Sneaker, lange Mäntel, kurze Haare, Hipster-Ponies. Es gab einen DJ und sogar veganen Apfelkuchen...ich war im Himmel. Für andere mag so etwas selbstverständlich sein, aber als Dorfkind hat mich das total umgehauen. Das Erlebnis wird mich bei meinen Style-Entscheidungen noch lang begleiten ^^ 

The  cardigan  was the only item I took with  me from that  flea  market, but definitely  not the only  impression. Never before I've been able to see that many people wearing  awesome outfit crammed  into one place. Beanies, back- packs, sneaker, long coats, short  hair and  hipster-bangs. A DJ and vegan apple pie... I think I was in heaven. For other people, this might be something they can see  everyday, but as a country-kid, I was completely amazed. This experience is going to influence my style-choices for a while ^^

Sobald ich mir ein Outfit überlegen wollte, in dem der Cardigan die Hauptrolle spielt, ist mir dieses Hemd für die Nebenrolle eingefallen. Von den Farben her ergänzen sie sich perfekt und es bringt sogar eine weitere Akkzent-Farbe mit rein. Ich liebe Curry-Gelb! Und ganz zufällig habe ich Socken in derselben Farbe, die durch die (zu kurze) Hose schön zur Geltung kommen. Denn noch mehr als die Farbe an sich liebe ich es, wenn sich Farben im Outfit wieder aufgreifen.

As soon as I started to plan an outfit  in which the cardigan plays the leading role, I instantly thought of this polo shirt as the supporting role. Color-wise they complement each other perfectly, and it even brings an accent-color into the  mix. I love this curry-yellow shade! And coincidentally, I own a pair of socks in the exact same color, which are standing in the spotlight due to the a-little-too-short pants. Because even more than I love the color itself, I love it even more when a color gets picked up more than once in an outfit.
