Outfit V: Ostfriesen-Nerz & Hobo-Dress.

Heute gibt's eine Neu-Ausführung meines Narzissismus, gekleidet in einer gelben Regenjacke und einem viel zu großen Kleid. Ahoi!

 - Ladies and Gentlemen,-

Today I'm presenting to you another version of my narcissism packaged in a blogpost and dressed in a yellow rain coat and an oversized dress. Ahoy!

Teil A: der Rucksack. Wenn ihr meinen letzten Post gelesen habt, wisst ihr, was die Geschichte hinter diesem Rucksack ist. Er weicht mir seitdem ich ihn habe nicht mehr von der Seite!

Part A: the backpack. If you've let your eyes look at my last post,  you know what the story

behind this backpack is. This thing hasn't left my side since I got it!

Teil B: Die Jacke. 

Das ultimative Klischee-Kleidungsstück für alle Ostfriesen, auch Ostfriesen-Nerz genannt. Da bekommt man doch sofort Lust, sich an den Deich zu stellen, Pfeife zu rauchen und schweigsam zu sein. Ich bin aber sehr froh, dass es sich bei dem Nerz nur um ein Wortspiel handelt.  

Und selbst wenn mich Leute nicht als Ostfriesin identifizieren können, sehe ich zumindest aus wie eine Quietscheente. Auf jeden Fall mag ich den eher modernen Schnitt & Material der Jacke in Kombination mit dem leichten Kleid.

Part B: The jacket. 

The most cliché piece of clothing a German East-Frisian can wear. It's called "Ostfriesen-Nerz" (transl. something like "east-frisian mink coat"), because while people in other parts of Germany would wear a fur coat, people up here wear a yellow rain coat. I also like the word play of comparing something that's supposed to be glamorous with something that isn't. (Fur isn't funny or glamorous tho). East- Frisians are characterizied as standing at the dike that frame  the german north-west coast while smoking their pipe in the wind and being very silent people, and I'm kinda feeling close to my home region when wearing this jacket. 

And even if people can't identify me as an East- Frisian, atleast I look lik  a rubber-duckie. I definitely like the modern cut and material of the jacket in combination with the rather light and soft dress.

Part C: Das Kleid. I'm so in love. Habe es vor ein paar Tagen im Oxfam (Bremen, Knochenhauerstraße 18, in der Nähe der Fußgängerzone) für 7€ gefunden. Nach genau so einem Geschirrtuch/Tischdecken/Schürzen-Muster habe ich gesucht und bin fündig geworden. Es scheint selbst-genäht zu sein und ist extrem weit, dafür aber auch extrem lang und macht eine wirklich interessante Silhouette. Manchmal frage ich mich, ob ich darin Schwanger aussehe. Aber in der Straßenbahn hat mir leider noch niemand einen Platz angeboten :'(

Part C: The dress. I'm so in love. I found it a few days ago @ Oxfam in Bremen for 7€.

I was looking for just this type of wash cloth/table cloth/apron-pattern, and I found it.

It seems to be self-sewn and it's extremely wide but also pretty long, which creates a

really interesting silhouette.I always wonder if I look pregnant in this dress, but so far

nobody in the subway has offered me a seat! :'(

Part D: Die Schuhe. Wenn man auf sein soziales Umfeld hört, sind diese Schuhe nur arbeitslosen Hippies oder Öko-Müttern vorbehalten, deren Kinder Jack-Hanf und Ambrosio Pax der III. heissen. 

Ich bin ein arbeitsloser Öko-Hippie-Student, also nehm ich mir einfach mal die Freiheit. 

Diese Schuhe sehen aus wie die bekannten Birkenstocks, sind aber nur die "Alternative" von Deichmann. Die Birkenstocks habe ich leider weit und breit nirgends im WWW secondhand & in meiner Schuhgröße gesehen. Sollte ich sie aber noch finden, werde ich wohl zugreifen, denn diese synthetische Version ist nicht wirklich bequem. Sehen aber doch ganz cool aus und lassen sich gut kombinieren, wie ich finde. 

Part D: The shoes. If one listens to their social environment, these type of shoes can only be worn by unemployed hippies and eco-moms whose chlildren are called Jack-Hanf and Ambrosio Pax the Third.

I am an umemployed hippie-eco-student, so I guess I can wear them too. These shoes look like the famous Birkenstocks, but are only the "alternative" version by a big shoe-shop here in Germany. I couldn't find the originals in used condition and in my size anywhere on the www. But If i find them I'll probably get them, because these synthetic ones don't seem to be really comfy. But they look quiet cool and are easy to combine, in my opinion.

Part E: Das Gebimmel. Ohrringe, vor Jahren mal bei Forever 21 in Berlin gekauft. Erinnern mich an Seefahrt, durch die Anker-Form. Die Kette ist zusammengebastelt aus einem einsamen Kettenband und einem Anhänger, den ich in der Werkstatt meines Vaters gefunden habe. Das Gesicht habe ich von Mama und Papa bekommen, auch wenn es ihnen nicht ähnlich sieht. Die Augenbraue habe ich selbst verbockt. 

Part E: The ting-a-ling. The earrings, bought years ago at forever21

in Berlin, remind me of the sea because of the anchor-shape.

I put the necklace together from a lonely necklace-band and a

pendant that I found in my dad's hobby crafting room. The

face, well I got that from my mom and dad, although it doesn't

look like them at all. And the eyebrow I failed drawing in the

right way all by myself!
