Manchmal fragt sich der rationale Teil meines Gehirns, warum der andere Teil Outfits wie diese zusammenstellt und so großen Gefallen daran findet. Letztendlich finde ich meinen Stil erst dann ausgefallen genug, wenn man es nicht mehr schafft, ihn in irgendeine Schulblade zu stecken! Und um das zu tagtäglich zu erreichen, hole ich mir Inspiration von bekannten Websiten bis hin zu den banalsten Dingen, die ich heute mal erwähnen möchte:

Hmm, where do I start? Let's begin with the ones that are the most popular to me, but maybe new to you!
1. INSTAGRAM
Meine Haupt-Inspirationsquelle. Ich bin schon viele Jahre auf Instagram (und habe schon gefühlt 100 verschiedene Accounts gehabt), und in dieser Zeit wirklich viele tolle, kreative Menschen entdeckt und kennengelernt. Mein absolutes Lieblings - Social Network. Da ich genügend interessanten Accounts folge, schaue ich kaum auf der Explore-Page, aber liebe die Sammlungs-Funktion. Wenn ihr coole Outfits findet, speichert sie in eurer Sammlung und könnt euch immer wieder inspirieren lassen!
My main source of inspiration. I've been on Instagram for many years now created probably a hundred different accounts haha) and discovered and got to know so many lovely and creative people on this network. And because I follow so many nice accounts, I barely browse on the explore-page. But what I really love is the feature of saving pictures in a collection - so if you see a cool outfit-combo, save it to always have your inspiration at hand!
2. Tumblr
Das Zuhause von Hipstern im Teenager-Alter, die versuchen, sich selbst zu finden - tumblr. Ich muss so sarkastisch sein, das ist Teil der Edgy-Experience™. Wenn ihr Tumblr bereits kennt, wisst ihr, was ich meine ;) Für diejeingen, die es nicht tun: Tumblr ist zwar eine Blogging-Website für alle möglichen Themen (wirklich alle), fühlt sich aber im Gegensatz zu blogger.com eher wie ein soziales Netzwerk an, da man die Posts anderer re-bloggen kann, um den eigenen Blog zu füllen. Neben persönlichen Outfits posten viele Mitglieder auch sondern Designer- & Runway-Fotos. Ich bin kein Mensch, der (bewusst) Trends folgt oder eine Image- und Marken-fixierte Kultur supporten möchte - aber trotzdem gefallen mir diese Outfits. Da achte ich eher auf Stoffe, Schnitte, Muster, Farben - und versuche, das Ganze Secondhand nachzustellen. Außerdem lasse ich mich gern von Art Diaries, Collagen oder Architektur der 50er-80er Jahre inspirieren.
The home of angsty people in their teens who try to find themselves - tumblr. I have to be this sarcastic, it's part of the edgy-experience™. If you're experienced with tumblr, you know what I mean. If anyone of you doesn't know what that weird-sounding name is about: it's a blogging-website for all sorts of topics, but unlike blogger.com it much more feels like a social network, because you can re-blog posts by other people to fill your own blog. Some members not only post their personal fashion, but some even post the latest runway- and designer-pictures. I'm not a person who follows trends (knowingly) or wants to encourage an image & brand-driven culture - but that doesn't mean I'm not enjoying looking at it. I focus on shapes, colors and fabrics, not the necessarily the brand or the designer, and think about how I can recreate them by buying secondhand. I'm also really inspired by art diaries, collages or architecture from the 50s-80s.
3. Youtube
Ich glaube, dies muss ich nicht groß erklären. Seit ich Secondhand-Shoppen für mich entdeckt habe, gucke ich super gern Leuten dabei zu, wie sie ihren Trip filmen und die aussergewöhnlichen Klamotten herzeigen. Hier sind einige meiner Favoriten (einfach auf die Bilder klicken):

4. Pinterest
Ich muss zugeben, dass ich garnicht so oft hier bin, aber ich weiß, wie viele Menschen Pinterest für Rezepte, Photographie oder Styling lieben. Ich habe nicht nur eine Sammlung nur für Styles; noch viel mehr liebe ich Bilder von Vintage-Werbung oder Sammlerstücken.
I have to admit that I don't come here that often, but I know how many people love Pinterest for recipes, photography and fashion. I don't only have a folder for style, but also for vintage ads and objects, because that's what inspires me really much as well.
5. Lookbook.nu
Mann-o-mann, hatte ich hier Spaß. Als ich vor einigen Jahren anfing damit, Ouftit-Bilder zu machen, war das nur dafür, um diese auf dieser Website hochzuladen. Lookbook.nu ist eine Website, die einzig und allein dafür da ist, seine eigenen Outfits zu teilen und andere zu inspirieren.
Nach einiger Zeit habe ich damals aber das Interesse verloren, weil mir die Community sehr gestellt vorkam - als teilt man dort nur Komplimente & Likes (bzw. "Hypes"), um diese zurück zu bekommen. Aber vielleicht hat sich dies mittlerweile geändert? Auf jeden Fall habe ich wieder Lust, damit weiterzumachen. Aber auch wenn ihr selbst keine eigenen Bilder posten möchtet, macht es Spaß, die Looks der anderen Mitglieder anzuschauen!
You guys, I had so much fun here a few years ago. When I first started taking outfit pictures, it was because I wanted to upload them to lookbook.nu. It's a platform where you can upload pictures of your outfits to inspire others.
I actually lost interest at that time after a while because I found the community there to be kinda fake, loading you with compliments just to get likes (or hypes, how they call them) in return. But maybe that has changed? I really want to get back into this again. But even if you don't want to post yourself, just looking at the looks that members post is fun!
6. Polyvore
Diese Plattform nutze ich momentan nicht, muss sie euch aber unbedingt vorstellen - besonders denjenigen von euch, die ihren persönlichen Stil noch suchen. Mit Polyvore könnt ihr praktisch Moodboards oder Collagen aus lauter verschiedenen Kleidungsstücke erstellen. Natürlich soll die Website so den Verkauf dieser Teile ankurbeln, aber ihr müsst ja nichts kaufen :) - einfach mal ein paar Collagen erstellen und sich drüber klar werden, was ihr denn diesen Winter so tragen wollt!
Again, a platform I don't use much (not at all at the moment) but it would be so useful to those of you who still want to find your personal style. Polyvore basically enables you to create edits or moodboards by using a collection of different clothing pieces. The website obviously is supposed to help selling those pieces, but you're not obligated to do buy anything ;) - just create a bunch of collages to figure out what you want to wear this winter!
7. Sentimentales Gedöns
Hier gibt es keine Website, die ich empfehlen kann - es geht schlichtweg um die Schauplätze, in denen ich eine schöne Kindheit verbringen durfte.
Versetzt euch mal in diese Szenerie: die altmodische Stube meiner Oma, mit drunkelgrüner Samt-Couch, Spitzen-Tischdecken, geschnitzten Holz-Figuren und alten Uhren. Der Geruch von viel zu starkem, schwarzen Tee erfüllt die Luft. Und dann spürt ihr plötzlich die kalte, harte "Brise" des Windes, der euch euren Hut wegweht, und ihr müsst euch eine dicke Jacke anziehen, vielleicht noch eine darunter - und so kommt dann ein Outfit wie dieses zustande! Wow, diese Überleitung. Aber der Punkt, den ich machen will, ist: es kann unheimlich viel Spaß machen, Elemente eurer Vergangenheit oder Kultur zurück in die Gegenwart zu holen und sie anzuziehen - und dies kann euren Stil wirklich einzigartig machen. Wer ist schon genau so aufgewachsen wie ihr?
7. Sentimental stuff
There isn't a website that I can recommend here - i'm just talking about taking inspiration from the places in which I was able to spend a nice childhood in.
So imagine the following scenario: the old-fashioned livingroom of my grandma, including a dark-green velvet couch, lace-overlays, wooden figurines and old clocks. The smell of way-too intensively brewed black tea fills the air. And suddenly you feel a cold, harsh "breeze" blowing your hat away, so cold that you need to put on a thick jacket, maybe even another jacket underneath - and that is how today's outfit came to life! Wow, such a brilliant transition. But let's sum this up first: It's a lot of fun to take elements of your past or your culture and recreate, reinvent them and lastly, wear them - that can make your style truly unique, because nobody grew up exactly like you!
Diese Jacke lieber ich immer noch wie am ersten Tag. So tolle Farben, Taschen und kleine Details! Aber als Alternative, falls mir mal wieder zu warm werden sollte, gab es dann doch zusätzlich eine Sweatshirtjacke dazu. Ich glaube, die hat meine Mama mal für meine Schwester von Shein bestellt? Der Shop ist nicht so cool, die Farben der Jacke schon:
I loved this big jacket from day 1. Such amazing colors, pockets and little details! But as an alternative, in case my body decides to get too hot again, I carried this sweatshirt-jacket with me, just in case. I think that my mom ordered it ages ago for my sister from shein? The shop isn't cool, but the design of the jacket is:
Ich finde, dass diese gestreifte vintage Esprit-Bluse aussieht wie etwas, das eine Kellnerin auf Roller-Blades in einem Café (in welcher Dekade die auch immer populär waren) getragen haben könnte, als sie Milchshakes verteilt hat.
I think that this blouse looks like something a waitress on roller-blades in a café back in the days (50s? 60s? 80s? Whenever these cafes were popular) would have worn while serving milk shakes.
Und ja, ich finde diesen Rock auch irgendwie hässlich. Aber so hässlich, dass er schon wieder gut aussieht. Beiger Samt? In Rockform, aber in einer seltsamen Länge? Besser geht's nicht (hier zu einem älteren Blogpost mit diesem Schmuckstück).
And Yes, I think this skirt is ugly too. It's so ugly that it's looking cool again. Beige velvet? As a skirt, in a weird type of lenght? You got me! (here's an older blogpost featuring this beauty)

Also würde ich mich super freuen, wenn ihr mir ein paar empfehlt, oder auch eure eigenen Blogs!
